Hogwasher Setup Guide
This guide will walk you through setting up ASAR Hogwasher to work with Giganews servers. This newsreader is recommended for Mac users. If you haven't already signed up for Usenet access then definitely give Giganews a try. They offer 565 days binary retention, SSL encryption and servers in the US, Europe and Hong Kong. Step 1 - Download and Run Hogwasher Installer
First, go to

Double Click on the Hogwasher Application in the Applications Folder (Figure 2). Click Open at the next screen (Figure 3).

Step 2 - Installing Hogwasher
At the Registration Window, select Test Drive if you are a new user. If you would like to go ahead and purchase Hogwasher, click Purchase Now. If you are an existing Hogwasher user, then click Enter Serial Number. (Figure 4)

Click Next (Figure 5) then enter in your personal information (Figure 6)

The next three steps invole adding your mail server. One of the great features of Hogwasher is that it integrates your email service so you can post into the Text groups. These next three steps are completly optional. However, we here at NGS have taken the liberty of screenshotting you the next three steps (Figures 7, 8, and 9)

When you get to the News Account Setup screen (figure 10), enter in Giganews into Account Name. Then enter in the news.giganews.com in the Server Name field. Hit Next and enter in your account information (user name and password). Then hit Done.

It's that simple to configure Hogwasher for Giganews. Enjoy!
