NGR news: July 10, 2009
It looks like we can expect big news from Giganews soon.
Check out these recent remarks floating around the Web from Liz Kintzele at Giganews.
Liz's Twitter post:
small announcement coming soon, big one immediately following and then just when you think we are done... it is time.
----------
DSL Reports forum post in response to the Giganews AT&T special:
Hi All, Liz from Giganews- if anyone out there has any questions on the special let me know. Also, look forward to some big news from Giganews in the coming weeks and more to follow in early Fall. Consider it a game changer.
----------
P2Pnet post in response to someone guessing a retention announcement:
Increasing retention is not a game changer :) Not saying it is not going to happen, but I would not consider that big news.
----------
So where does that leave us? I would suspect a retention announcement is coming soon since Giganews is already at 337 days and counting. In the past that would have been the "big news".
Liz mentioned in the P2Pnet post that she wouldn't consider a retention announcement as big news. In fact she mentions that we can consider it to be a "game changer".
According to her Twitter post we can expect a small announcement to come soon (I'm guessing retention) with a big one to follow... and then... its time.
Time for what I'm not sure but look forward to finding out soon. Stay tuned to NewsgroupReviews, DSL Reports and P2Pnet for more details.
