SteamReactor is a Usenet browser software that is especially designed for media files. It allows the user to download binary files and open the file immediately after the download has started. This tool is very useful as many multipart binaries take hours to download and integrated video player automatically can play the file immediately after download. The newsreader comes with an integrated video player based on the powerful VLC media player . Steamreactor's video player will be able to handle most video and audio formats. One slick feature is that the newsreader allows 4 different videos to be sampled at one time as they are downloading.
The Newsreader also supports the use of NZB's so you do not have to browse through each newsgroup. What makes this software really easy to use is that it comes with an integrated Usenet Search feature like clients like Newsleecher . You can just enter the subject you are interested in the search bar, scan the returned results and then download what you need. Once you download the file, you can choose to preview the file if you choose. The newer versions of SteamReactor also automatically extract the file for you from RAR form as it is downloading or after it downloads. SteamReactor Newsreader also has an integrated NFO-viewer so that you can view details of the articles that you are interested in downloading.
