In February 2008 NewsHosting announced increased binary retention and connections. They now offer 110 days of binary retention along with 20 connections at the same price.

Binary Retention - NewsHosting provides two retention levels. They offer 110 day retention in their NHXL Unlimited plan as well as the 10 GB/month NH Lite plan. They also offer an 80 day NH Unlimited plan.

Speed - NewsHosting did well in our speed tests with an average of 5 Mbps on large binary files. The NHXL plan is the better performer as it includes 20 connections.

Security - the NHXL and NH Lite plans come with free SSL encryption. This coupled with 20 connections leads to strong performance.

Pricing plans - NewsHosting offers their 110 day NHXL plan with 20 connections and unlimited downloads for $19.95/month.  They also offer an 80 day, 8 connection NH Unlimited plan at $14.95/month and the NH Lite 10 GB/month plan at $9.95.

Bottom Line - With the latest upgrades NewsHosting raised the bar moving from 70 days of binary retention up to 110 days without increasing price. Couple this with deep term discounts and NewsHosting should be adding quite a few new customers.
