This guide will walk you through setting up BinTube to work with Giganews servers. If you haven't already signed up for Usenet access then definitely give Giganews a try. Download BinTube
Visit the BinTube newsreader homepage (BinTube.com) to download the latest version of the client.
Install BinTube
The installation is simple. Choose a folder for the program to install and whether or not you want desktop or quick launch icons.
Configure BinTube for Giganews
Once BinTube is launched you can define the news server setup. To do so click on Options → Server Settings

Now you can enter in the server information in the screen below:

The server properties screen includes everything you need to get up and running. Simply enter the information as follows:
- Server Address: news.giganews.com
- Port: 119 (non-secure) or 563 (secure)
- Connections: up to 10 or 20 depending on Giganews account.
- Check "Use SSL Encryption" for secure access.
- Username and Password: provided in email
- click OK
