This guide will walk you through setting up BinTube to work with PowerUsenet news servers.
Download BinTube
Visit the BinTube newsreader homepage (BinTube.com) to download the latest version of the client.
Install BinTube
The installation is simple. Choose a folder for the program to install and whether or not you want desktop or quick launch icons.
Configure BinTube for PowerUsenet
Once BinTube is launched you can define the news server setup. To do so click on Options → Server Settings

Now you can enter in the server information in the screen below:

The server properties screen includes everything you need to get up and running. Simply enter the information as follows:
A – Server Address: news.powerusenet.com
B – Port: use port 563 or 443 for secure or port 119, 23 or 80 for standard connections.
C – Connections: PowerUsenet supports up to connections.
D – Check “Use SSL Encryption” for secure access.
E – Check “Server Requires Login”
F – Enter Username provided in email
G – Enter Password provided in email
