First of all NZBUsenet is free to use. You can browse any newsgroup in their index for content. They also link any search qureies over to NZBFriends to provide capabilities beyond individual newsgroups. Not to be confused for a Usenet provider or newsreader software. Both of which you will need to download from Usenet. NZBUsenet and NZBFriends will help you find your chosen subject from across millions of newsgroup posts without having to download headers. Which can be a very time consuming task.

How to use NZBUsenet:
You can start by filtering the newsgroups that you’re interested in. You’ll want to enter a choice in the “filter kwywords” field. Group names containing that word will be presented. From there you can browse each individual group and see what NZB files are there.
To use their connection to NZBFriends enter a topic of interest into the “Usenet search” field and click Go. You’ll be presented the results and can then refine your search or move forward. Once you find the topic of interest you can download the NZB in XML file format. NZBFriends has also partnered with NZBLord and GetNZB to use their services to download the resulting content of your search. If you already have a Usenet provider then just save the NZB as an XML file. Otherwise both NZBLord and GetNZB offer competitive services.
